However, this program is not intended to be a substitute for personal psychological and medical treatments which may be necessary in order to completely accomplish personal change goals. Therefore, in addition to this valuable program, it may be wise to consult with a mental or physical health professional.

Scientific surveys have indicated that fear of public speaking is the most widespread phobia in the world. Dr. Ohlson has developed this program to utilize the power of self-hypnosis to help overcome this fear.

You may benefit from this program if:

You panic at the thought of having to stand or sit in front of a group of people so that they focus their attention upon you.

You become even more anxious when you are asked or required to speak before a group, sometimes even if the “group” is composed of only one or two other people. .
You break out in a sweat, your heart races, your mouth gets dry, your hands tremble and your knees get wobbly, or you may feel faint---sometimes just at the thought of making a speech or presentation before a large audience.

If you experience these and other symptoms of anxiety and phobia, then this program may be helpful to you. The program is contained in an audiotape that you can play when it is safe and convenient for you. Please do not play this tape when you are driving or in any situation in which it might be dangerous to become too drowsy. Self-hypnosis is an aid in dealing with your fear without the use of drugs, extensive therapy or expensive equipment. All you need is an audio tape player and some quiet time alone.

On SIDE A of this audiotape, Dr. Ohlson talks about some of the reasons that you or people like you have this fear. He will give you some strategies for helping you deal with this common fear in a more effective way.

On SIDE B of the tape, Dr. Ohlson will introduce you to self-hypnosis and demonstrate some self-hypnotic techniques and suggestions that have been shown to be helpful in overcoming the fear of public speaking.

When you have listened to the tape and practiced the self-hypnosis suggestions, you should be able to be much more comfortable in making public presentations. In fact, you may find that you have no fear at all. However, this material is only meant to be an aid in your quest for fearless speaking. This tape is not meant to be a substitute for psychological or psychiatric treatment. Some fears and problems have some deeper underlying causes, which may need to be addressed by a mental health professional
